Fall
Autumn is a truly majestic time to visit the Voyageurs National Park area. Fall colors can be spectacular and scenic drives aboud. Nature orchestrates its own music and paints fluorescent oranges, yellows and reds of aspen, birch and maples – all against a backdrop of green pines.

• Birders paradise – Over 300 species of birds migrate through our area every year during autumn and spring.
• Hunting opportunities abound outside of the national park – along hundreds of miles of trails within Koochiching County. Popular game hunts include ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, deer, bear and waterfowl.

Vast amounts of public land and easily accessible trails provide almost unlimited hunting opportunities in Koochiching County.
